Where exactly is SL Notify's server located?
The server is housed in a Level 3 facility in a non-disaster prone area. We have chosen a premier facility to ensure security, reliability and accessibility. We guarantee 100 percent network uptime. Other featured customers in the same facility include General Electric, Delta Airlines, Siemens, Humana, Pfizer, Cisco, Oracle, Hershey's, Hilton, Sony Music, Virgin, Bristol-Myers Squibb, SafeCo, CBS News, ESPN, ABC Cable Networks, Cannon, US Marine Corps, Liberty Mutual, VISA, Disney Online, Universal Studios, Hearst Publications, Price Waterhouse Coopers, US Robotics, and the list goes on, so we're in very good company.
Do I need any special equipment to use SL Notify?
You need only be able to access the Internet through a browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.).
Can you walk me through getting setup, establishing my profile and initially using the system?
We will provide you with phone support to get you up and running. Simply submit an email to us from inside the "Sign Up" screen, and we'll contact you to begin your setup and subscription. You may also call us toll-free at 1-800-378-2321 at a pre-arranged time for us to assist in establishing your profile and walking you through your first entries.
When changing the Stop Loss Percentage, why do I have to go to the previous screen for it to take affect?
The Update button on the Client page does not recalculate the new percentage unless you return to the previous screen first. Then, the percentage is recalculated upon re-entry.
Can we print the Daily Activity Report for one client or selected clients only?
Presently, the Daily Activity Report displays all of the clients and their accounts requiring updating on a given day. The report may be used by the stockbroker and can ultimately be placed in a client file as documentation of investment activity.
What is the best method to add client holdings?
The best method for adding client holdings is in the Client Profile screen. Another way to enter client holdings is in the Manage Stop Loss screen, but depending upon the other holdings and pricing you have in the database, you may not be able to enter the current holding price for the new entry.
Can I modify this product?
The product may be modified depending upon the specific request and applicability across multiple financial advisors. Simply email or call us to discuss possibilities and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. It's not outside the realm of possibilities that we might seek input from other advisors regarding requests we receive. Our intent is to keep the system relevant to our subscribers, the nature of the industry and the rapidly changing economy. Our intent is to help you manage your business so it isn't managing you. If there's something we can do that is a natural extension or enhancement to what we're already doing, please let us know. Your business is important to us, and we want to continue to provide you value.
May I pay my monthly fee by credit card?
Yes, you may. We'll collect the necessary information from you. Know that once credit information is entered electronically, the information is encrypted, and once the transaction is completed, credit card information is not preserved in any electronic form.
Do you accept other forms of payment in addition to credit cards? We accept both checks and direct wire transfers. For payment by check, you will receive a monthly invoice. Is there a time-limited or other type of trial system I can download?
There is a demo version of the software you may try. It is accessible from the Home Page. Just select the Demo button from the left navigation bar, or select the link in the copy highlighting the ability to give the system a "trial run." You may also go to the Demo by clicking on the link in the footer of this page.
How often are system upgrades released, and what do they cost?
At this time, we anticipate updates every 3 to 4 months. Free upgrades are included in the monthly subscription, and the number of actual upgrades, even if they are more frequent, will not affect your monthly subscription amount.
Can I private label this product with my own colors, logo, etc.?
In order to private label the product we'd have to obtain written permission from an advisor's corporate headquarters to include corporate image graphics. If this permission is obtained, tying those graphics to the advisor's name and creating a custom header would be billed at $95/hour with a maximum not to exceed $380.
Is SL Notify ever loaded onto my file server or desktops and laptops?
While accessible by all of your desktops and laptops, provided they have Internet access, the system will always reside on a managed server. This enables us to update and manage the system from a single location and enable all subscribers to have immediate access to those upgrades.
